Introduction:
ISO 31000 Risk management – Guidelines providing principles, framework and a process for managing risk that can be used by any organization regardless of its size, activity or sector.
ISO 31000 will increase the effectiveness of process for setting objectives, the identification of opportunities and threats and allocation and use of resources for risk management.
ISO 31000 cannot be used for certification purposes. However is does include guidance for internal or external audit programmes under risk management. It can be used to compare the internal risk management practices against internationally recognised benchmarked best practice.
Course Objectives (Summary)
Describe the purpose of Risk Management and explain the Risk Management Process elements.
Explain the purpose, content and interrelationship of ISO 31000 and other ISO Guidelines standards for example ISO 31010 Risk Assessment Techniques
Interpret requirements of ISO 31000
Define risk management.
Describe most frequently used risk assessment tools.
Define basic risk management terms.
Identify risk management responsibilities.
Describe the benefits of risk management.
During the one day training participants will acquire knowledge and skills to implement an effective Risk Management system in conformance to ISO 31000. Risk Management, similar to any other system, evolves over time within a company as Knowledge grows and frequent reviews are conducted. Hence, the best place to practice and extend your experience is in reviewing one’s current system, conduct a gap analysis and determine if current established requirements are sufficient to meet applicable ISO 31000 requirements.
